Questions and answers about the SparCard subscription

  • The SparCard is only available as a subscription and can be started on any day.
  • The SparCard subscription costs 9 euros per month. Cancellation is possible at the end of a contract month, but at the earliest after a term of six months.
  • The SparCard entitles the holder to use SparTickets in the entire NVV fare zone. It is only valid for the holder and in conjunction with a photo ID.

  • You save 50% compared to buying a single ticket and can travel with the SparTickets on all routes in the NVV fare zone without being tied to a specific route.
  • In the KasselPlus area, the SparCard is worthwhile from the 5th journey per month.

  • The SparCard subscription can be ordered online via the NVV-Abocenter of the KVG.

  • On all NVV public transport services - i.e. on local public transport trains, buses and trams, as well as on the AnrufSammelTaxis (AST). Please note that there are no discounts on AST surcharges.
  • The SparTickets are only valid together with the SparCard!

  • The new NVV SparTarif - the SparCard subscription - is worthwhile for anyone who does not use NVV local transport every day, but does so frequently.

  • SparTickets are available in the NVV app, at all mobile and stationary ticket machines and from the staff in the vehicles. They are also available at customer centres and InfoPoints.
  • When purchased, they are valid for immediate travel.

Carry along

  • Children under the age of 7 who do not yet go to school can travel free of charge on buses and trains in the NVV area if they are accompanied by at least one person who has a valid ticket.

Bicycles can be taken along free of charge.

Please note:

  • Please park your bike in the designated areas without disturbing other passengers. 
  • There is no guarantee that you will always be able to take your bike with you, but we will do our best to make this possible. 
  • In certain situations, transport company staff may prohibit you from taking your bike with you for operational reasons. Please understand that the staff's decisions regarding vehicle capacity and the appropriate parking location for your bike are ultimately for the safety of the passengers. 
  • If you are traveling with a group of cyclists, please notify the NVV service telephone at 0800-939-0800 (toll-free) at least 10 working days in advance. Please note that groups with bicycles cannot be taken on buses. 
  • It is not possible to take bicycles on AST (AnrufSammelTaxi) services.
  • You can also use our bicycle parking facilities.

You can take your pet with you free of charge, but it is up to the train or bus staff to decide.

  • Please keep dogs on a lead and keep an eye on them. Dangerous dogs must wear a muzzle. Dog breeds listed in §2 of the Dog Ordinance may not be transported. 
    Other pets may travel in suitable containers.
  • In a car, such as a AnrufSammelTaxi (AST), dogs may only be carried in a transport box, provided they are no larger than a domestic cat.
  • Assistance dogs and guide dogs may always be taken along as long as the rules of §145 Para. 2 Sentence 2 of the SGB IX are followed.
