Tariff system of the NVV
NVV tickets are valid for all means of local transport. This includes local trains, trams, RegioTrams, buses and AnrufSammelTaxen (AST). Your ticket is valid for your entire journey, even if you have to change trains en route.
The NVV network area includes all municipalities in the districts of Kassel, Hersfeld-Rotenburg, Schwalm-Eder, Waldeck-Frankenberg and Werra-Meißner, the city of Kassel, the municipality of Staufenberg, the town of Hann. Münden with the districts of Bonaforth, Hedemünden, Laubach, Oberode and the town of Warburg with the districts of Calenberg, Dalheim, Daseburg, Dössel, Germete, Herlinghausen, Hohenwepel, Menne, Nörde, Ossendorf, Welda and Wormeln.
Each town or municipality in the NVV area has its own fare zone. There are different prices for journeys between 2 of these areas, which are divided into 8 price levels. The highest level is price level 8.
MultiTickets Single, MultiTickets or an annual travelcard in price level 8, you can use it to travel throughout the entire NVV area.
Within a municipality, price level 1 applies, whereas in Kassel the ‘Stadt Kassel’ price level applies. In some cities there is price level ‘S’. This applies in Bad Wildungen including Reinhardshausen, Bad Sooden-Allendorf, Frankenberg, Korbach, Melsungen, Niestetal, Reinhardshagen and Witzenhausen.
The KasselPlus area
The KasselPlus price level includes the following towns: Stadt Kassel, Ahnatal, Baunatal, Calden, Espenau, Fuldabrück, Fuldatal, Habichtswald, Kaufungen, Lohfelden, Nieste, Niestetal, Schauenburg, Staufenberg and Vellmar.
