DiakonieTicket

  • The DiakonieTicket is for anyone who receives citizen'sbenefit, housing benefit, basic security benefits or benefits under the Asylum Seekers Benefits Act.
  • The DiakonieTicket offers you the opportunity to travel for a full month plus an additional day (for example from January 5 to February 5).
  • The ticket isonly valid for the holder, i.e. not transferable to other people, and is only valid in conjunction with proof of eligibility.
  • Residents of the city of Kassel can also use the Teilhabecard Kassel for this purpose.
  • The proof of eligibility is issued upon presentation of proof that you receive one of the above-mentioned benefits. It is valid for the duration of the authorisation, but for a maximum of 6 months.
  • In price level 8, the DiakonieTicket is valid in the entire NVV area.
  • The 9am DiakonieTicket allows travel from 9am Monday to Friday.
    • At weekends and on public holidays, the 9am monthly ticket is valid all day, with no time restrictions.
    • If you want to travel before 9am Monday to Friday, you will need a one-way ticket U18 or a 5-trip ticket U18.

Carry along

  • Children under the age of 7 who do not yet go to school can travel free of charge on buses and trains in the NVV area if they are accompanied by at least one person who has a valid ticket.

Bicycles can be taken along free of charge.

Please note:

  • Please park your bike in the designated areas without disturbing other passengers. 
  • There is no guarantee that you will always be able to take your bike with you, but we will do our best to make this possible. 
  • In certain situations, transport company staff may prohibit you from taking your bike with you for operational reasons. Please understand that the staff's decisions regarding vehicle capacity and the appropriate parking location for your bike are ultimately for the safety of the passengers. 
  • If you are traveling with a group of cyclists, please notify the NVV service telephone at 0800-939-0800 (toll-free) at least 10 working days in advance. Please note that groups with bicycles cannot be taken on buses. 
  • It is not possible to take bicycles on AST (AnrufSammelTaxi) services.
  • You can also use our bicycle parking facilities.

You can take your pet with you free of charge, but it is up to the train or bus staff to decide.

  • Please keep dogs on a lead and keep an eye on them. Dangerous dogs must wear a muzzle. Dog breeds listed in §2 of the Dog Ordinance may not be transported. 
    Other pets may travel in suitable containers.
  • In a car, such as a AnrufSammelTaxi (AST), dogs may only be carried in a transport box, provided they are no larger than a domestic cat.
  • Assistance dogs and guide dogs may always be taken along as long as the rules of §145 Para. 2 Sentence 2 of the SGB IX are followed.

  

You can take prams, pushchairs and luggage with you free of charge.
